Stem Cell Bank – Cord Blood Bank

The world’s most affordable cord blood bank!

Mary is pregnant and decided to store the stem cells of her baby because she knows that stem cells from the umbilical cord are already used against:

  • Malignant diseases
  • Damaged tissue
  • Ineffective medicine

Why are umbilical cord stem cells valuable?

The umbilical cord contains valuable stem cells that science foresees as the future of medicine, and the umbilical cord is a medically and ethically acceptable source of stem cells.

Potential Use
1) Autoimmune diseases Diseases in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. These could include type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
2) Damaged skin Stem cells can be guided into becoming specific cells. They can be used to regenerate and repair diseased or damaged tissues (1) in people (e.g., severe burns).
3) Heart defects Stem cells have been shown to grow new blood vessels around narrowed or damaged arteries in the limbs and restore impaired blood flow (2).
4) Brain damage Stem cells are used to treat nerve and brain damage, such as spinal cord injuries, strokes, and traumatic brain injury as well as Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, and Alzheimer’s disease.
5) Eye disease Stem cells can restore vision after eye disease (3).
6) Drug sensitivity test Before using a new drug, some types of stem cells may be useful to test the safety and quality of drugs.
7) New organs Growing organs from stem cells like liver buds and brain organoids are examples of advances in growing spare human parts.
